Research Interest
Dr. Liu leads the 3D root reconstruction efforts in our arpa-e project to improve carbon sequestration in maize roots.
He joined the computational plant science lab in June 2017 and is an expert in computer vision techniques. He discovered his interest in plant biology in in Argelia Lorence's lab at at Arkansas State University as part of the plant imaging consortium. During his time in Arkansas he acquired several years of 2D and 3D experience in plant imaging problems.
